Curriculum Vitae
  J. Timothy McMahon received the Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) degree in Organizational Behavior and Management from the University of Kentucky. He joined the faculty of the Bauer College of Business, University of Houston in 1972 and served as Chairman of the Department of Management from 1978 through 1985.

He lived in Heidelberg, Germany from January of 1986 until June of 1988 while conducting research on the impact of HIV/AIDS on work teams for the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and teaching graduate courses for the University of Maryland. In June 1988 he began an assignment in Madrid, Spain as the UH academic coordinator as well as Professor of Management at the Madrid Business School.

He returned to the University of Houston in August 1992 where he taught Leadership Development and Leading Change in the MBA program. An inspiring teacher, he received more than 13 outstanding professor awards.

Dr. McMahon wrote over 60 papers and articles related to leadership and organizational behavior topics. His articles appeared in American journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organizational Dynamics, Journal of International Business Studies and Personnel Psychology as well as several European journals.
