Leader Behavior Questionnaire
Editor's adaption of the Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire (LBDQ)
 
Assume that you are to be named the supervisor of a group involved in the production of custom ordered parts. You are very familiar with the technology and have recently been thinking about your behavior as a leader. For each of the following items indicate how important you think it is to engage in the behavior indicated.
  
1. Act friendly, informal and easy to talk to
 
 
2. Do little things to make life in the group more satisfying
 
 
3. Communicate performance expectations to all members
 
 
4. Implement suggestions made by group members
 
 
5. Allow members to approach work in their own way
 
 
6. Try out my ideas with the group
 
 
7. Treat all group members as my equals
 
 
8. Insure the group is clear about what my attitudes are
 
 
9. Avoid unilateral decisions on what to do and how to do it
 
 
10. Inform the group in advance of changes to be made
 
 
11. Keep to myself and avoid frequent contact with group members

13. Care about and look out for the personal welfare of group members
 
 
14. Be very clear about my role in the group
